1. The Youth League of GSLHA is going to be administered by the Oval staff and they are going to do a great job. The only thing changing is a few faces, but they are planning to have teams play in the URL. Please spread the word. Registration dates are Aug 16 & 23 10:00-1:00 in the lobby.

2. Winter D-League at the Oval - Sunday Night -“Developmental League”

League Designed for entry-level beginner players looking for a team. Individual players welcome and encouraged!
Teams welcome at $3,050.00 Per Team
All Players must be USA Hockey Registered
Must have full equipment.
15 Regular Season Games, 2 Double Elimination Playoff Games for a total of 17 games minimum this season.
League will be played on SUNDAY NIGHTS with play beginning October
**Warning ** The Oval league reserves the right to reject any player on your roster for the following reasons:
- * 3 or more years’ hockey experience.
- * Competitive players from any of the higher leagues.
- * Any type of player deemed a “Ringer”.

3. Adult Winter League for 2008-2009 Season info:

Due to as many teams have requested to get into the league we will now play 2 games Friday night and 7 games on Saturday afternoon/night. We will have 18 teams in our winter league with 3 divisions.

Friday night game times are 9:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Saturday night game times will start at 1:45 p.m. and go to midnight

Pre-season will start on 09/19/08 and regular season will start on 10/03/08. League will end at the end of march 2009.

League fees are $3850.00
2 pre-season games
15 regular season games
double elimination play-offs

We will be having the mandatory team manager meeting on 08/15/08 (Friday) at 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the oval. All team managers or a person from your team has to attend the meeting.

We have at this time 22 teams trying to get into 18 team spots. You need to mail $1000.00 deposit to wade Bateman at…

No later than 08/15/08 or give it to him at the meeting. Also you need to send me an e-mail that you are planning to put your team in so I can know who is coming to the meeting. When you e-mail me that does not mean your team has a spot in the winter league, you have to get your deposits in first.

4. The adult league had a All Star Game. The White team Won 10 to 6 against the Black team. The MVP of the game was Phil MacDonald (METAL HEADS) from the white team. CONGRATULATIONS PHIL!!!!!
